The lab focuses on the development of emotional systems across the lifespan, with two primary research areas: emotional development in children and adolescents, and emotional processes in older adults affected by neurodegeneration. In the developmental domain, the research explores how emotions evolve in children and adolescents and their influence on psychological well-being. In the neurodegeneration domain, the lab investigates the decline in the interaction between emotion and cognition in older adults to better understand the impact of neurodegeneration on emotional and cognitive functions.
